Position Summary
Public Safety Officer is responsible for monitoring visitors and assisting with the arrival and departure of Memorial Medical Center guests.
May require pushing, pulling and lifting very heavy weights (up to 75 pounds), such as assisting patients to and from vehicles by wheelchair to their hospital destination.
Officer will be required to be on his/her feet for an extended period of time, answer phones and demonstrate proper phone etiquette, handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, have good audio and visual acuity in order to communicate effectively and must be able to work in all weather conditions.
Must possess the ability to reason and think logically and be able to read and write.
Responsible to create a safe environment for all guests and staff.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum Experience: Previous Security Officer experience strongly preferred.
Must possess a current New Mexico Drivers license with no DWI convictions and proof of current vehicle liability insurance.
Must project a professional presence, excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to work with people in a tactful and courteous manner.
Must be able to work holidays and weekends.
